Number 35 tell the church origin story often. Everybody loves a good story. I love a good story. I’m sure you love a good story. And the thing about stories is that people can kind of relate to them wherever they’re at.How did your church come to be? @johnfalke Click To Tweet
So you want to make sure that people understand how your church came to be what the vision was behind it who the people were that were involved and the miracles that God did to bring your church to where it is today.
And if you tell that story often enough then people start to spread that story right it’s like if you go to a restaurant and they say, “Hey is this your first time here?” and you say, “yes it is.” And they start to tell you well let me tell you what’s different about this restaurant and they tell you how the food’s organic and how all of the meat comes from grass fed animals and all these different things right. And pretty soon you’re telling your friends about how amazing this place is and it’s because you have a little piece of this story that you can pass on.
So how did your church come to be? Why is your church so passionate about reaching this community? How has God worked in your church’s history to bring you to where you are now? And what is God calling your church to do next?
Whether it’s in a new visitors meeting or you know several times per year in the service or whatever you need to tell that church origin story in different ways in different forms and often so that people can really start to own it like you own it.
