Hey Digital Communicators, I’m John Falke from Johnny Flash Productions and Amplified Impact, and this is 101 Ways to Attract More Visitors, a practical guide for churches to amplify their impact and reach their communities. Now let’s amp it up.
#7, pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on you. Now, this may sound kind of cliché, but I think it’s really important because we want to make sure that when we’re trying to reach people in our community that we have it grounded in prayer. We want to be praying for the hearts of the people in our community.
We are going to be praying that God would direct us and show us how to reach them and what to communicate to them and, and how to love on them, but we also want to work like it depends on us because you know what? We have to put our faith into action and so we can’t just only pray. We have to also live out and work hard and make every effort possible. We have to put our faith into action and so we can't just only pray.'' @johnfalke Click To Tweet
And so I know you may have heard this before, but I think it’s really true. You know, we need to pray a lot. Pray more than you’re praying now and we need to work harder than we’ve been working and I think God honors that when we are both intentional with communicating with God and when we’re working really hard to honor him
It’s like the parable of the talents where Jesus tells a story of a master who entrusts his servants with different amounts and then comes back to assess how well they did with those things. And I think sometimes we’re, we’re only given a little bit and we need to be faithful with a little bit. And then as we’re faithful with a little bit, God entrusts more to us.
And so I think we need to be praying and asking God to work on the hearts of the people in our community and show us how to reach them. And then we need to take the bold steps and try to reach them and see what God does.
In the next video, I’m going to show you how to get kids excited about coming to your church. Until then, amp it up.
