Hey Digital Communicators, I’m John Falke from Johnny Flash Productions and Amplified Impact, and this is 101 Ways to Attract More Visitors, a practical guide for churches to amplify their impact and reach their communities. Now let’s amp it up.
Number 26 be helpful in the community. There is a church near me called New Life Church and they have this amazing facility that they call the Nzone and it’s basically like an indoor sports complex.
They’ve got indoor fields, courts, workout area and during the week different teams, individuals people come in and use their sports facility it might be for practice and might be for working out but they have literally thousands of people come through their doors during the week and then on the weekend on Sunday they use the space for their church. So they’ve got their Children’s Ministry meeting on some of the different fields and the different rooms that they have in this facility. It’s really amazing!
Are you meeting needs in your community like New Life Church is? @johnfalke Share on XAnd I think the cool thing about it is that in our community there’s a lack of enough sports fields and courts and just practice space for teams and they saw that need and they decided to do something about it and so rather than have a church building that sits mostly empty during the week and is only used for a few hours on Sunday they’ve created something that is used constantly and then they can leverage on the weekend. This is just one example of a church who saw a need in the community and went out of their way to really meet that need and I think it’s really awesome.
So look for churches in your area that are doing some creative things to meet needs in the community. If you’re not sure what some of those needs are then talk to you know some government officials in your area. Talk to the police department the fire department maybe some of the social services and find out what the real needs are in the community and then figure out how your church can help meet those needs and attract more visitors by meeting those needs.
